Wild Landings and Other Stories

James Pitman
Johannesburg Monthly Meeting
Tuesday, June 7, 2016 - 19:00

Join us for our Essa Club meeting to hear James Pitman speak about his epic  aerial exploration of Nambia last year with fellow test pilot Mike Blyth.

Flying a light aircraft manufactured at their factory in Pretoria, their adventures over Namibia's dramatic landscapes were documented by filmmakers Lloyd Ross and Joelle Chesselet. The team landed at an an island off Angola to explore the ruins of a ghost town, explored Namibia's Skeleton coast, and had interesting interactions with many local people on their journey.

James and Mike are pioneers as well as innovators- they have flown around the world twice and are exporting their light sport aircraft to the US, Australia and several African countries.
