In September 2014, Christopher Green, Christoper Barichievy and Neil O’Leary completed the 3rd ever descent of the Ivindo river in Central Gabon, padding 300km in 9 days. Highlights of the trip included traversing remote areas of Ivindo National Park, said to be the largest tract of pristine rainforest remaining in Africa, portaging 4 substantial waterfalls through dense rainforest, encountering the local wildlife and paddling vast stretches of undocumented whitewater.
