This beautiful small town is in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in the Free State. We will be camping at the Golden Gate National Park, Glen Reenen Restcamp.   The Clarens Dinosaur Tour starts off with a talk on the geology and palaeontology of the area followed by a field trip looking for dinosaur bones from the Triassic period with Gideon Groenewald, Phd Geology; and David Groenewald, Hons Palaeontology.   The Ash River trip has great white water rafting with grade 3 and 4 rapids.
